About Dr. Therese
Part Oprah, part Joanna Gaines, and part Anthony Bourdain, Dr. Therese hails from Southern California and is a Filipina-American Licensed Clinical Psychologist, self-care and personal development guru, and consummate foodie. Berkeley educated, she is a mover and a shaker with a drive for building community and entrepreneurship. Dr. Therese founded the LA Digital Nomads, and is the CEO & Founder of Exploring Therapy, a wellness community whose motto is “Build a life you don’t need a vacation from.” Through her lens of vivacity and delight, she shares about mental health, freedom from anxiety, travel, and discovery. She is passionate about inspiring people to explore and live braver, healthier, more connected lives.
She has worn a lot of hats in life (as most women do!) giving her insights into the areas of psychology, business, food, faith, and hospitality. Dr. Therese was a convocation speaker at Pepperdine University, and has worked with Darling Magazine, PsychCentral, Dr. Henry Cloud (Boundaries.Me), Yellow.co, Chillhouse’s The Chill Times, and other organizations and brands that value her positive, hopeful perspective. She also serves as an inaugural Advisory Council member for the Association for Healthcare Social Media, the first professional society focused on health professional social media use. Most recently, she spoke to entrepreneurial women at The Riveter on self-care and being intentional with managing one’s career and life. Her spirited yet centered presence has led her followers to find her trustworthy, calming, and encouraging. Prior to launching her own business, she spent time working as an executive with a luxury chocolate company, in full time ministry, and doing business development for the largest food tourism company in Los Angeles.
Dr. Therese is a self care evangelist, a sustainable clothing & green beauty enthusiast, and on a never-ending quest to find the world’s best breakfast burrito. She lives as a full time digital nomad and remote therapist, splitting her time between Los Angeles and Europe (mostly Lisbon, Portugal).
